A big part of the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide in the construction industry is the fear of being seen as weak or unable to handle what you’re facing. The truth is, asking for help and having these conversations takes strength.

The numbers behind suicide in the construction industry cannot be ignored.
According to the Center for Construction Research and Training (CPWR), the rate of suicide among construction workers is nearly FIVE times higher than the rate of all other construction fatalities on the jobsite.
Be your brother’s keeper, both on and off the jobsite. Check in. Ask questions. Pay attention to possible warning signs. And most importantly, don’t be afraid to start a conversation.
